Advertising: auto responder.
Have you ever submitted your email address on a site and almost immediately, you received a reply? Don’t be deceived, there isn’t a 24/7 attendant on the other side who replies email instantly. It is a system called auto responder.
This is how it works. After creating your auto responder email account, the very next thing to do is to save the reply that you want to send each time a person sends a message to you. It happens instantly and it gives the receiver a feeling of security based on your efficiency at responding.
For instance, the next time you go online, send a blank email to proposal@positiveinteractive.com. You are sure to receive an instant reply. This is not because I am online 24/7; but because, I have programmed an auto responder to do the job. Enough has been said, how do you get an auto responder email account? Many companies who offer this service do so at a price. Some of the common ones are: freeautobot.com, getresponse.com and so on. However, if you already have a website hosted on the internet, you should have an auto responder account on your hosting plan. To know if your website can accommodate the auto responder feature, contact your domain hosting company.
Affiliate marketing
What is an Affiliate Program? In simple words, affiliate marketing means that you help advertise or market products for a third party. An Internet merchant pays you to send people to his/her site. Some pay a percentage of sales resulting from your referrals. Others pay a specific amount per sale, click-through, or other actions originating from your site. Some programs track sales from your referrals for the life of a customer. Others pay you on purchases made by a referral for a limited time only.
If you remember what we said earlier about the middle man, then you would understand how affiliate marketing can help you earn lots of money. The system used to pay you commissions is called, Pay per Click (PPC).
The next question that you may want to ask is ‘how do I find the right Affiliate Program’? The easiest way to find an affiliate program is to go to either Commission Junction or Linkshare.
These companies have set up systems for you to find, apply, and manage affiliate programs through their sites. CJ and Linkshare will also pool your commissions so that you receive one commission check in the mail, rather than separate checks from every affiliate program you join.
Once you’ve registered, it’s possible to find a program in almost any area that you are interested in. Affiliate programs are listed by advertiser name or by category. Take time to compare programs and select the ones that will work for you.
The two best known affiliate programs are run by amazon.com and eBay. eBay will pay you up to $20 for each active registered user you send to eBay. They also pay a small amount for bids originating from your site. Amazon pays up to 15% on sales, and offers several ways to integrate affiliate links into your site.
At this point you should already be doing exploits on the web. I am convinced that if we do not go straight into the discussion on FOREX some people would ask for my head. So let’s talk about FOREX.
FOREX
The word "FOREX" is derived from "foreign exchange" and it is the largest financial market in the world. Here, you are involved in buying and selling of foreign currencies online. Unlike many markets, it is open 24 hours a day and has an estimated $1.9 trillion in turnover everyday.
This tremendous turnover is more than the combined turnover of all the worlds’ stock markets on any given day. This tends to lead to a very liquid market and thus a desirable market to trade. Forex trading is a great way to earn legitimate living on the internet with guaranteed free time to stay with your family and do what you love. You might even quit your 8-to-7 job after few weeks if you understand how the business works and go full time. It is a delightful opportunity when you consider the benefits:
- Forex trading offers a very high return on investment as a result of the leverage involved.
- Forex trading is not capital intensive, it requires no qualification, no office and other headaches associated with running a business.
- A Forex trader can determine his/her work hours since the global foreign exchange market is open 24 hours a day, 6 days a week.
- Since Forex trading can potentially earn a very high income, a trader enjoys the possibility of never, ever working for someone else again!
- You do not need to phone anyone or have any face-to-face appointment before trading in Forex. The beauty of the system is that it keeps running even when you are not around to work. Also, you have equal potential to profit in both the rising and falling of the market. In this sense, you make money both ways - contrary to what entails in the local stock market.
But you must be prepared to educate yourself on the techniques of Forex trading! You can’t just jump on the bandwagon and try to make money on instinct. You need guidance and a little time to spend learning how the system works. Take this piece of information very seriously. ‘Don’t just jump into Forex trading’. It’s quite true that, people profit heavily in Forex trading but people also lose heavily.
Give yourself some time to grow in Forex. I would suggest that, you begin with demo trading before you invest your money in Forex. In coming editions I would be explaining FOREX in details; I would also do justice to how to sell digital products online. At this point I would love to give the final, most important ingredient for success ‘define yourself’.
Define yourself
I’ve learnt from experience that, if you do not stand for something, you would fall for anything. If you want to be known as a person who is trustworthy, tell people that you are trustworthy and keep to your word. The truth you must come to terms with is that, if you do not tell people who you are, they would suggest what they think you are and mind you, people usually don’t think you amount to anything.
The greatest thing to stand for is the truth. If you can’t deliver it, don’t promise it. Above all, ‘remember ye the lord for it is Him that gives the power to make wealth”.
